VF-62 Korea
We would like to thank LT. John L. “Sully” Sullivan for providing the pictures contained within this photo album. In 1953, Lt. Sullivan served as a Fighter Pilot onboard the USS Lake Champlain as a member of Fighter Squadron Sixty-two (VF-62) and carrier group Seventy-seven (CG77) stationed off the coast of Korea. When not flying “Sorties” or providing air support for the ground troops, LT Sullivan was able to utilize his 8mm camera to capture the daily routines of a “Tail-hook” pilot.
“Sully” was certainly one of the best and his love for flying is evident to this vary day.
